  3. What a mystery that these guys did not make it big time in the US with this gem of an album. Melodic AOR hard rock, Somewhere between late 70's Journey (who I saw them open up for juat after this album came out), REO Speedwagon, Foreigner and a half dozen Southern hard rock bands (ARS, Point Blank, Molly Hatchet, etc) in sound, some heavy guitar riffs, but overall more FM radio-friendly.5/5(9).
  4. Originally released on vinyl & tape through Capitol Records, in Barcode and Other Identifiers Barcode: /5(7).
  5. Editorial Reviews Originally released in , LeRoux's Up album is regarded as one of the cornerstones of pomp rock. Embellished with flamboyant keyboards but utilising traditional hard rock as its backbone, their style accommodated complex arrangements, melodic guitar work and impressive vocals from Jeff Pollard.5/5(4).
  6. After a pair of long-players credited as "Louisiana's LeRoux," the sextet shortened their handle to simply Le Roux for their next outing, Up (). The nine-song effort has a definite AOR feel, due at least in part to the influence of top-shelf West Coast studio musician and producer Jai flatsurepbaningve.rekerchalenlongpokamvomiseltupas.co: $
  7. Why they didn't explode into the big leagues with this album will always be a mystery to me. The songwriting and the performances, especially Jeff Pollard's vocals, make this album a timeless gem. The production is a bit sterile at times, but mostly it works because the songs are so great!5/5(6).
